中文摘要1,6-Hexamethylenediamine (HMD) was grafted onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) to increase the compatibility between MWNTs and polyamide 6 (PA6). MWNTs/PA6 nanocomposites were fabricated by melt blending with both pristine MWNTs (p-MWNTs) and amino-functionalized MWNTs (f-MWNTs). It was found that the dispersion of MWNTs in PA6 is improved by amino-functionalization. The physical and mechanical properties of MWNTs/PA6 nanocomposites were investigated using rheological analysis and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The results showed that the apparent viscosity of the composites is lower than PA6 at lower MWNTs content, but is higher than PA6 at higher MWNTs content. This is attributed to the stiff effect of MWNTs and the broken junctions in PA6 chains caused by a great deal of MWNTs. Amino-functionalization destroyed the tubal structure of MWNTs and weakened their stiff effect, resulting in lower apparent viscosity of the composites. The storage modulus of the composites is similar to neat PA6 owing to the crystallization and stiff effect of MWNTs, however the glass transition temperatures (Tg) characterized by tan peak for all composites are lower than that of neat PA6. Amino-functionalization of MWNTs improves the interaction between MWNTs and PA6, leading to a higher Tg of f-MWNTs/PA6 than p-MWNTs/PA6.
