英文摘要By finite-element software ANSYS, the finite element method for geometric nonlinear analysis of diaphragm braced steel members under static loading is presented in this paper. The columns and panel of diaphragm-braced members are simulated by shell element. The theoretical results agree well with the other's experimental data. The thickness of the panel, the sectional direction of the columns, and the distance between the columns are as main influential parameters which are considered. The results indicate that the ultimate strength of the member will increase obviously with the increase of thickness of panel, and die deformation of the members will descend. There are slight effect on the load resistance of the member with different sectional direction of the columns. The lateral deformations of mid-span will increase evidently with increasing of the distance between columns only when the distance is much small, but in practical buildings, it has no notable effect on the behavior of a diaphragm-braced member.
