英文摘要 | To solve the problem that cavitation is prone to occur in low-specific-speed centrifugal pumps, a new method in which tiny blades are arranged on the hub of the impeller is proposed to suppress cavitation. Through numerical calculations, combined with corresponding external characteristics tests and cavitation experiments, the effect of tiny blades on the cavitation performance of low-specific-speed centrifugal pumps was investigated, and the cavitation suppression mechanism was also analyzed. The results show that the simulation value of cavitation agrees well with the experimental value. In the cavitation development stage, the tiny blade optimizes the flow structure, decreases the intensity of turbulent kinetic energy in the impeller, and significantly weakens the vortex intensity on the hub of the blade, thereby improving the cavitation performance of the centrifugal pump. The cavity volume with the tiny blades is far smaller than that of the prototype impeller. At the same time, the tiny blades can reduce the main frequency amplitude of the pressure in the impeller, but will cause a certain degree of disturbance to the volute tongue. The above analysis provides a certain research foundation and theoretical basis for suppressing the development of cavitation in centrifugal pumps.
