英文摘要This paper takes the valley city of Lanzhou as an example to study the evaluation method of urban rail transit network planning for valley cities. We start by defining a valley city and then propose a comprehensive evaluation method of line network based on set pair analysis. By constructing an identical degree decision matrix, we employ analytic hierarchy process to determine weights and use comprehensive evaluation method to get the optimal scheme. Finally, a case study on rail transit planning in Lanzhou demonstrates the proposed evaluation method. The numerical example indicates the effectiveness; thus, a decision basis is provided for urban rail transit network planning. © 2017 ASCE.
