英文摘要For detecting forces in material deformation, this paper systematically analyses the working mechanism of a strain transducer and the measuring principle of an electrical bridge. Strain gauges are based on the strain effect of metal and the piezoresistive effect of semiconductors, respectively. Factors affecting resistance-rate and sensitivity of a transducer involve its physical dimension and the specific-resistance rate after loading. Balancing conditions of several electrical bridges with transducers are offered for the design of detecting the force system in material formation. Performance features of direct and alternate current bridges are analysed. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
