中文摘要新药研究开发中激烈的国际竞争,促使新药研究日益重视传统中药及天然产物的开发和利用。从传统中药中开发新药,还缺乏一个支持中药现代研究员的中药信息系统。作者在设计院和建立基于Internet的中药信息系统研究员方面主要完成了以下工作:(1)针对中药信息的特点,设计了中药信息系统的数据库模式,详细定义了中药数据域和有关中药信息的编码,建成立了中、英文版包含中药基本信息、化学成分、计算机化的分子结构信息以及生物活性的中药数据库。库中目前包括1500余种常用中药种的信息。(2)实现了基于Internet的中药信息系统单项条件和多条件的在线检索。为了使客户端更加方便、动态地浏览和研究中药有效成分的三维化学结构模型,创建成了新的浏览器窗口显示三给养化学结构(3)利用分子模型号和描述三维世界的虚拟现实模型语言(VRML, Virtual Reality Modeling Language)解决了三维化学结构在Internet上的传输和显示问题,实现了用球棍型、空间充满型、线型和棍子型模型在Internet上传输和显示三给养化学结构。(4)按多种方式对中药基本信息、有效成分信息、交叉信息进行在线检索,可获得中药各类信息。本系统的建立,有助于支持中药的现会化研究。本系统的网络化,有助于提高我国中药体系在国际上的声誉,推广中医中药的研究成果,促进中外学术交流,拓宽中药商贸市场。
英文摘要With the increasing intensive competitions and challenges, more and more attentions are paid to natural products, especially the Traditional chinese Drug (TCD) for finding new drugs. For finding and developing a new drug from TCD,however, there is no a TCD information system that supports modern TCD studies. It is necessary to develop such a system that supports modern TCD studies. In order to disseminate the theory and knowledge of TCD across the world, promote academic exchanges on TCD between China and other countries, meet with the ever-increasing international interest in TCD, and make the searching, exchanging and sharing TCD information conveniently, we aimed to build up a Study-oriented TCD Information System (STCDIS) on the Internet so as to make it serve the interests of all nations. At the same time, the system will be very helpful in inaugurating TCD market. To develop a STCDIS on the Internet, we have finished some work as following: (1) Based upon characteristics of TCD information and in order to computerize TCD information, the schema of TCD database has been proposed; fifty-four data fields and relative codes of TCD information have been defined. The TCD databases in both Chinese version and English one have been set up. Now, there are more than 1500 species of natural plants used as TCD in our TCD database. (2) The interactive function of STCDIS on the Internet was implemented by using Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI) which is of more advantages than those of Common Gateway Interface (CGI) in page generating speed, reduced server load, finer-grained control and URL (Uniform Resource Locator) mapping, etc. By means of ISAPI, the STCDIS can support not only simple-entry retrieval but also multi-entry retrieval at client site. The friendly user interfaces on the Internet were coded by using HTML and JavaScript. A new browser has been made by means of JavaScript, in order to display three-dimensional (3D) chemical structures. (3) For smooth transfer and display 3D chemical structure in STCDIS on the Internet, a program, VRMLMaker, was developed. VRMLMaker can convert a molecular MOL2 or ML2 file format to the VRML file format which has four different styles, namely, wireframe, capped sticks, ball-and-stick, and a CPK space-filling model. VRMLMaker was developed based on molecular model and Virtual Reality Modeling Lannguage (VRML) techniques. (4) By the application of STCDIS, a few case-studies have been done. STCDIS can provide diversified data by cross retrieval.
