中文摘要	The title compound, C10H9N2O+center dot I-3(-), was obtained unintentionally as the product of an attempted synthesis of an iodoplumbate complex using NaI as a donor to provide I-. The cation is planar (r.m.s. deviation for all non- H atoms is 0.024 angstrom) and has an intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond.
