英文摘要	With the widely application of disinfection of drinking water utilizing ozone, the impact of bromide formed in the ozonization process on people's health was paid more attention. In this paper a method to determine trace BrO3- and Br- in water by ion chromatography coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometric detection was developed. BrO3- and Br- were separated on a DIONEX Carbopac PA-100 (4 min x 250 mm i.d.) column with 5 mmol/L NH4NO3 (pH 5.7) eluent solution at 1 mL/min. The detection limit for BrO3- was 0. 0027 mu mol/L, and 0. 0067 mu mol/L for Br-. The results show that the concentration of BrO3- in mineral water analyzed by the method developed in the present work is much higher than that proposed by the World Healty Organization, while no BrO3- was detected in drinking water in Laoshan area of Qingdao.
