英文摘要With the widely application of disinfection of drinking water utilizing ozone, the impact of bromide formed in the ozonization process on people's health was paid more attention. In this paper a method to determine trace BrO3- and Br- in water by ion chromatography coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometric detection was developed. BrO3- and Br- were separated on a DIONEX Carbopac PA-100 (4 min x 250 mm i.d.) column with 5 mmol/L NH4NO3 (pH 5.7) eluent solution at 1 mL/min. The detection limit for BrO3- was 0. 0027 mu mol/L, and 0. 0067 mu mol/L for Br-. The results show that the concentration of BrO3- in mineral water analyzed by the method developed in the present work is much higher than that proposed by the World Healty Organization, while no BrO3- was detected in drinking water in Laoshan area of Qingdao.
