中文摘要Although the first room temperature ionic liquids (ILs) were reported in 1914, only since the 1980s have room temperature ILs attracted a significant and growing interest. Today, especially as green chemistry/solvents, they have been studied extensively due to their advantageous properties such as negligible vapor pressure, large liquid range, high thermal stability, high ionic conductivity, large electrochemical window, and ability to solvate compounds of widely varying polarity. To optimize the use of ILs and design the desirable ILs, knowledge of their physical and chemical properties is essentially important. Still today it is very crucial for their (industrial) implementation on a wider scale to get a fundamental understanding and easy access to their chemical and physical properties. As there are potentially several millions combinations of anions and cations for simple ionic liquid combinations (although only a few thousand have been reported yet), the need for a living, systematic and most comprehensive database, with continuous updating is desired [1]. It is our aim to provide users worldwide with up-to-date information on publications of experimental investigation on ionic liquids, including numerical values of chemical and physical properties, measurement methods, sample purity, as well as many other significant measurement details. Our Strategy is different from other ionic liquid databases. We regard ALL published data as valuable to include them into our database. However we are aware of major concerns regarding the quality and uncertainty of published data. Therefore we categorize all cited data into three groups of uncertainty. In comparison to existing ionic liquid databases (e.g. IL-Thermo[2]) delph-IL (www.delphil.net) will offer its user various unique and advantageous features and datasets to support the daily work of scientist in industry and academia.
