中文摘要 | “herbalome” is proposed to make clear the composition, structures, and function of traditional chinese medicine (tcm), and to establish the resource library of tcm, and interpret the mechanism of regulation of multi-components on multi-targets. in this blueprint, we focus on development of new methodologies including high throughput and high performance technology to decode composition of tcm completely. the base that supports the success of “herbalome” is to construct the modern tcm resource library consisted of components, information and knowledge. then the high content and high throughput screening method shall be applied to discover the function of tcm components, in order to find bioactive components and explain the tcm philosophy. due to detailed determination description of tcm in “herbalome”, intellectual property protection on tcm can be carried out, which provides technical and resource basis for continuous and effective development of new medicine. “herbalome” is expected to solve problems in the following nine directions: 1. high-throughput preparation of tcm components; 2. systematic characterization of the constitutes of tcm components; 3. construction of tcm resource library; 4. techniques on high content and high-throughput screening; 5. drug discovery basing on biological screening and evaluation; 6. development of novel tcm products; 7. selection of tcm prescription for vital diseases basing on clinical evaluation; 8. application of tcm components in systems biology; 9. development of tcm theory. |
