中文摘要been reported that isochrysis galbana have considerable total lipid content 20–40% (w/w) (fidalgo et al., 1998) and is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (jeffrey et al., 1994). however, the information about i. zhanjiangensis is rare. in order to improve the yield of fatty acid, the mixotrophic growth of i. zhanjiangensis was investigated by supplementing organic carbon source, acetic acid. using a 1-l flat plat photobioreactor (20cm×20cm×3.5 cm), acetic acid was added to f/2 culturemedium at the beginning of culture. the experiments were performed at 25±1 ◦c, initial ph 5.0, air supply of 0.3vvm and light/dark 14l:10d at light intensity of 100 em−2 s−1. the cultures were harvested at the late stationary phase and analyzed. a high content of total lipid in dry algal biomass at 45.58% (w/w) was achieved when 0.168 g/l acetic acid was supplemented, in contrast to 35% (w/w) of the control (photo-autotrophic). the total carbohydrate content is, however, 10% lower than that of the control.
