中文摘要abstract: the influence of ginsenosides and their intestinal bacterial metabolites (ibms) on human cytochrome p450 3a4 (cyp3a4) was assayed. we found that rb1, rb2, rc, rg3, re, rg1 and one of ibms, c-k, had no inhibitory effect, whereas rd, s-rg3, rh2, rg2, rh1, f1 exhibit weakly inhibitory activity against cyp3a4 activity, and ppd and ppt also exhibit potent inhibition of an enzyme-kinetically competitive type against cyp3a4 activity, with ki of 2.7±0.5 μm and 3.2±0.4 μm, respectively. the results suggest that the difference of intestinal bacteria in gastrointestinal tract might result in the different influence of food or drugs on hepatic metabolism, which might result in individual-specific drug-drug interactions.
