英文摘要Fissured lateritic soil is widely distributed in several southwestern provinces of China such as Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi. This paper presents a micro-meso-structure model of fissured lateritic soil to analyze and explain the contradictory phenomenon that the lateritic soil has many unfavorable properties (such as high void ratio) as well as the relatively good engineering properties such as low compressibility and high mechanical strength indexes. In the model, the fissured lateritic soil mass is abstracted to ternary compound structure (strong cementing aggregate, transition zone of weak cementing aggregate and fissures). Based on the previous experimental results, the micro-meso-structure model can rationally explain the macro mechanics and engineering characteristics.
