英文摘要China has the most complex geological structure in the west region, which is unique in the world. Since Quaternary Period, tectonic movement and earthquake activity are frequent, active faults develop. In such complicated geological conditions of tibetan plateau, the tunnel may have to be constructed beside active fault and in high seismic intensity area. Therefore, the corresponding aseismic methods need to be proposed. In this paper, the shock absorption effects of seismic isolation layers of the tunnel are studied. Rubber and foam concretes are selected as vibration absorbing material, and their effects are studied and compared with numerical method, meanwhile, improved Newmark's step-by-step implicit integration method and infinite element dynamic artificial boundary technique are applied in analysis. The results show that rubber and foam concrete both have good isolation and cushioning effects, although the dynamic response of the tunnel cannot be changed essentially. It also can be seen that there are small differences in shock absorption effects between two kinds of seismic isolation materials, however, foam concrete is recommended because of its durability and economy. Results of this research can greatly benefit the project location selecting, design and construction of tunnel engineering in high seismic intensity area.
