英文摘要As an extension to a recently developed modified wavelet Galerkin method (Commun. Nonlinear Sci. Numer. Simulat. 18(8): 1939-1948, 2013) for nonlinear differential equations, in this study, we systematically investigate the numerical accuracy of such a method by choosing Coiflet-type wavelets with different number of vanishing moments. Results show that the Coiflet-type wavelet with 6 vanishing moments has the highest accuracy for solving boundary value problems with strong nonlinearity.
