| 英文摘要 | 赖国栋，厦门大学历史系助理教授，历史学博士。 ; 【中文摘要】作为政治范畴的“文明”在20世纪早期得到了较多的讨论，但都不同程度地忽略了文明要素的多样性，也未曾考虑时代处境和史家的生活经验对文明史写作的影响。法国史家布罗代尔侧重探讨文明与经济之间的关系，将物质文明看作是文明的普世形态，并且使用跨学科和历史比较方法，揭示了文明没有固定的边界，只存在象征性边界；文明并不等于进步，从而承认文明的 相对价值。在文明史的写作上，布罗代尔从长时段的角度有选择地考虑政治事件和经济现象，关注资本主义，不考虑创伤事件，目的在于维护西方文明的价值，同时倡导不同文明之间的交流与借鉴。布罗代尔的历史论述是关照现实的产物，带有宿命论的怀旧情结，这与他的监狱经历、海外旅行经验、基督教信仰密切相关。20世纪早期“新史学”和当下全球史的一些重要议题，都可以在布罗代尔的著述中找到或明或暗的表达。 【Abstract】 “Civilization”，as a concept in the political arena，has received considerable discussions in the early 20th century. Nevertheless，these discussions have failed to explore the diverse elements of civilization to different extents，and also failed to take into account the influences imposed on historians’ writings of civilization history by the time they live in and their life experience. Deeming material civilization as a universal form of civilization， the French historian Braudel mainly explores the relationship between civilization and economy，and reveals that civilization merely has symbolic boundaries without any fixed ones by employing transdisciplinary and historical-comparative approaches. Civilization is not equivalent to progress，and it has relative value. When writing the history of civilization，Braudel selects to examine certain political events and economic phenomena based on the concept of long-duration， and pays close attention to capitalism， disregarding traumas， with an aim to encourage exchanges and communication between different civilizations while safeguarding the value of Western civilization. Braudel's writings on history have originated from his concerns over the reality，showing a touch of nostalgia and fatalism. This is closely related to his prison and overseas travel experiences as well as his faith in Christianity. “New history” in the early 20th century and some important topics in connection with current studies on global history have been embedded in Braudel's writings in an explicit or implicit manner.; 国家社科基金青年项目“20世纪早期法国史学与民族认同”（13CSS001) |
