He achieves this by revealing the dichotomies between language and the world, between human cognitive limitations and the will to interpret, between the subjective nature of interpretation and its claims of objectivity, and between dreams of certainty and uncertain realities. Both the Enlightenment and traditional theology are fettered by this stupidity, the cure of which is found in a Socratic ignorance fully recognizing the limitedness of humankind.
