中文摘要Although the structural information-based image quality assessment SSIM (structural similarity) is simple and has been proved to be better than the PSNR (peak signal to noise ratio) or the MSE (mean square error) methods, there are still some difficulties in assessing badly blurred images. This paper presents a frequency domain-based structural similarity (FSSIM) method for image quality assessment. The method takes frequency domain information as the main structural information for the image and gets a frequency domain function of the image from weighted frequency components after a discrete cosine transform based on the human visual system (HVS) with different sensitivities in the frequency domain. The structural similarity is calculated using the frequency domain, the brightness, and the contrast functions. Experimental results show that this FSSIM model is more consistent with the human visual system and can assess the image quality more precisely than the SSIM and PSNR methods.
