中文摘要Lightpath utilization inefficiencies exist when grooming label switched path (LSP) requests in IP over wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) networks with an overlay model. A possible-neighbor-based strategy was developed to estimate the physical hops of lightpaths using the single-hop grooming probabilities of router pairs, to preferably select possible shorter lightpaths to carry connections. Simulations show that the strategy can effectively estimate the physical lightpath hops and reduce the average optical resource consumption of LSP connections to significantly improve the connection request blocking probability and network resource utilization.
