中文摘要Spur dikes are built to protect banks and improve channels. The turbulence characteristics of the backflow region around a spur dike were measured in a glass tank to better analyze the scouring and sedimentation mechanics. A 3-D dynamic particle analyzer was used to measure the turbulence intensities in three sub-regions, the reverse-velocity backflow region, the positive-velocity backflow region and the main flow region. The results show that the turbulence intensity is greatly strengthened by the spur dike, particularly in the positive-velocity region with less effect in the main flow region. The turbulence intensity then logarithmically decays with distance from the spur dike.
