The method combines correlated sampling on the MCNP-4C platform with variance reduction techniques, Dxtran spheres and force collisions. A simple model used to calculate the detector correction factors was compared with four different simulation techniques combined with correlation sampling. The results show the figure of merit (FOM) of each variance reduction technique with correlated sampling was improved.
