中文摘要The effects of antioxidants (Si, B4C) on high temperature oxidation behavior of MgAlON have been investigated in this paper. The results which obtained from the studies of discolor layer thicknesses, phase compositions, lattice parameters of spinels in the oxidation products and microstructures of oxidized specimens show that B4C as antioxidant is more effective than Si, and the composite antioxidant consisting of Si and B4C is substantially superior to any one of them. The good effect of the composite antioxidant might be ascribe to two facts: one is the formation of borosilicate glass from oxidation products(SiO2 and B2O3) of antioxidants during oxidation at relative low temperature(below 1100 degrees C), the glass, featured by good fluidity and spreading power, low volatility and oxygen diffusion coefficient, is contribution to sealing off pores and cracks. Another fact is the formation of compact oxide layer composed primarily of mullite and Al18B4O33 at higher temperature, which acts as a barrier for oxygen diffusion.
