中文摘要Large organic single crystals are prepared simply by crystallization from solution. Anthracene single crystals with positive hexagonal plane (5 x 5 x 0.16 mm(3)), anamorphic hexagonal plane (7 x 4 x 0.19 mm(3)), and long hexagonal plane (14 x 4 x 0.29 mm(3)) are obtained using carbon tetrachloride, acetone and benzene, respectively. Different morphologies characterized by optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy vary according to the organic solvent used, which are mainly determined by the crystal-solvent interaction on the solid-liquid interface during the crystal growth process. Furthermore, the differences in crystal habits could result in the variations of crystal electronic and optical characteristics, such as charge carrier mobility and electro-/photo-luminescence. It was found that the photoluminescence (PL) properties of the crystals are dependent on the crystal size and shape.
