中文摘要In a large optical network with multiple domains, protection of the domain border nodes and the inter-domain links is an important issue affecting network survivability. Some existing segment protection models force adjacent domains to share border nodes, which greatly weakens the network's flexibility. This paper describes a domain-spanning segment protection method, which sets up a protection path between border nodes of the domains before and after the protected domain. The signaling process and performance of this mechanism are analyzed in detail. Simulations show that the method provides complete protection for the working path with good resource efficiency and protection speed.
