中文摘要近十年来,超短脉冲强激光与团簇的相互作用成为人们研究的一个重要课题。超短脉冲强激光与团簇相互作用能得到许多具有潜在应用性的结果,包括高能、高电荷态离子和高温电子的产生,以及较强的短波长x射线辐射等。同时,介于气态和固态之间,团簇具有自身特殊的物质形态,对其与超强超短激光的相互作用的研究,可以获得激光物质相互作用的崭新和更完整的物理图像。本论文对超短脉冲强激光与惰性气体团簇的相互作用主要进行了以,四方面的基础实验和理论研究:第一,理论研究了超短脉冲激光在惰性气体团簇的传播过程中所受的时空相位调制。通过数值求解介质中电场方程,理论模拟了飞秒强激光脉冲经氢团簇的传播,结果表明,飞秒强激光脉冲在团簇的传播过程中,由于团簇中原子的电离和团簇的膨胀对激光脉冲的相位调制,出现了非相对论性自聚焦现象。第二,对飞秒强激光与Kr、Xe等团簇喷流相互作用中高能离子的产生进行了实验研究,利用飞行时间谱仪测量了离子能谱,在飞秒强激光与Xe团簇相互作用过程中探测到能量在MeV以上的高能离子。第三,利用碉啾频谱干涉方法对飞秒脉冲激光与团簇相互作用中原子的电离过程进行了时间分辨的测量,观测到远高于相同激光条件下光场电离所能达到的平均离子电荷态。第四,利用“微等离子体球”模型,理论模拟了飞秒脉冲强激光与团簇的相互作用过程,计算了在激光脉冲的作用下,团簇电离、加热以及团簇膨胀的时间变化过程;采用流体等离子体近似,通过自洽地求解离子流体运动方程,模拟计算了高温电子驱动团簇等离子体的流体动力学膨胀所导致的离子速率分布,与实验结果符合较好。
英文摘要In recent years, the research on interactions of ultrashort intense laser pulses with clusters has been of much importance, which is mainly owing to many applications including the generation of energetic ions and electrons, highly charged ions and short-wavelength x rays. At the same time, clusters hold the unique position as an inermediate state between gases and solids. Studies on the interaction of ultrashort intense laser pulses with clusters will help to get new and more ideas about the physics of interactions of laser with matter. In this paper we present a comprenhensive investigation of the interaction of ultrashort intense laser pulses with noble gas clusters, which mainly includes the following experimental and theoretical work: I. Temporal and spatial phase modulations to ultrashort intense laser pulses propagating in clusters have been theoretically studied. It is shown that there exists non-relativistic &elf-focusing effect for intense laser pulses in clusters, which originates from the manner that clusters ionize and explode in the presense of the laser pulse. II. Experiments have been conducted to examine the energies of ions ejected during intense femtosecond laser pulses interactions with Kr and Xe clusters. By measuring their time-of-flight spectrum the energy spectrum of ejected ions has been derived and ions with energies up to 1 MeV have been observed. III. Time-resolved measurement of ionization process of clusters in the laser-cluster interactions have been investigated by employing a linearly chirped spectral interferometry. The results show that ions can be generated with higher charge states than that could be accessed by optical ionization in laser-cluster interactions. IV. Using the theoretical model of the cluster as a small plasma sphere, the interaction of intense femtosecond laser pulses with clusters has been theoretically studied and the processes of the cluster ionization, heating and expansion have been simulated. Using the approximation that the motion of ions in the cluster plasma satisfies the classic fluid equations, it is calculated of the ion velocity distribution resulting from hot-electron-driven hydrodynamic expansion, and the results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.
