中文摘要高能量密度物理研究的需求,牵引和推动了超短超强激光技术迅猛发展,输出功率正在从拍瓦向艾瓦(Exawatt)量级迈进。国际上,欧洲的ELI计划便是其中的典型代表。为实现艾瓦量级目标,除了扩大规模提高能量外,更为有效的是通过增大带宽压缩脉宽。已提出和发展了光参量啁啾脉冲放大、光谱预整形等多种技术措施,取得一定成效,但迄今尚未实现10飞秒级高能拍瓦脉冲输出。 本论文发展完善了宽带啁啾脉冲放大理论模型,研究提出了一种基于金绿宝石和钛宝石的新型混合介质CPA系统,能够有效抑制增益窄化效应,支持10飞秒级压缩脉冲输出。通过数值模拟和计算,成功设计完成了两种基于混合宝石放大链的10飞秒级拍瓦激光系统。此外,本论文还研究了脉冲信噪比、幅-频转换(FM-to-AM)和鬼像分布等构建高功率激光系统需要解决的共性技术问题。在Applied Optics、Optics Communications 等学术刊物和国际会议发表研究论文报告7篇。 本论文主要工作包括以下几个部分: (1)在前人工作基础上,发展完善了宽带啁啾脉冲放大理论模型,适于甚宽带(10fs量级)混合介质激光系统的设计与数值模拟。 (2)提出一种基于金绿宝石和钛宝石的新型混合介质CPA系统,通过数值模拟分析研究,表明该系统能够有效抑制增益窄化和增益饱和效应,具有支持10飞秒级拍瓦激光脉冲的能力。本论文完成了两个超短超强激光系统的概念设计,分别为:~10飞秒/3拍瓦系统和~13飞秒/10拍瓦系统。相关研究论文在Applied Optics、Optics Communications 等学术刊物和国际会议上发表。 (3)研究了构建高功率激光系统需要解决的其它共性技术问题: I.针对目前超短超强激光装置普遍采用拼接光栅压缩器这一现状,建立了光栅拼缝引起光谱剪切的数学模型,研究了该光谱剪切对压缩脉冲信噪比的影响。 II.级联晶体三倍频和角色散光栅是高功率激光装置三倍频系统中常用的幅-频转换补偿方法。本论文在光谱接收宽度,三倍频转换效率以及补偿动态范围等方面计算比较了两种方法的补偿效果。 III.使用MATLAB自编辅助程序处理ZEMAX执行结果,能够快速得到高功率激光装置中的鬼像分布。
英文摘要The high energy density physics research has resulted in a tremendous upgrowth of ultra short ultra high lasers. Until now, petawatt pulses have been achieved and even exawatt lasers have been designed. The ELI in Europe is a typical facility of these ambitious projects. To obtain the exawatt pulses, not only the energy has to be magnified, but also broad band spectrum is necessary for ultra short compressed pulsewidth. The exsiting techniques such as optical parametric chirped pulse amplification and spectral pre-shaping are turely effective, however, they are still not enough to achieve 10 femtosecond class petawatt pulses. In this dissertation, we improved the broad band chirped pulse amplification model and proposed a hybrid CPA system composed of Ti:chrysoberyl amplifiers and Ti:sapphire amplifiers. The ability of gain narrowing control of the hybrid amplification chain is demonstrated by numerical simulation and then two 10 femtosecond class, petawatt class laser designs are described here. In the meantime, several other common problems about the high power lasers such as the temporal contrast of the pulse, the FM-to-AM and the ghost images distribution, are also discussed in this dissertation. We have 7 papers been published in Applied Optics, Optics Communications and other journals. Our works are described as follows: (1)An improved theory model of broad band chirped pulse amplification is deduced based on the previously reported results. This model could be used in the broad band (10 femtosecond class) mixed media laser systems. (2) A hybrid CPA system composed of Ti:chrysoberyl and Ti:sapphire is proposed and studied by the numerical simulation. According to the simulations, the hybrid amplification chain could counteract the gain narrowing and gain saturation so effectively that it could diliver 10 femtosecond class, petawatt pulses. Then two ultra-short and ultra-high hybrid laser system are conceptually designed, which are a ~10fs/3PW laser system and a ~13fs/10PW laser system. The research papers about that are published in Applied Optics, Optics Communications and other journals. (3) Several other common problems about high power lasers are studied: I. The study of tiled-grating compressor has become important since the development of petawatt lasers. The model of spectral clipping due to the tiled-grating gap of a parallel grating pair compressor is established and the contrast degradation caused by the spectral clipping is simulated. II. The cascaded crystals structure and angular dispersion grating are often employed in the frequency conversion system of high power lasers to compensate the FM-to-AM conversion. We simulated and compared the compensation effectiveness of those two techniques in the aspects of the spectral acceptance, the frequency conversion efficiency and dynamic range of compensation. III. This paper describes a method that using a code programmed in MATLAB to deal with the output data of ZEMAX so as to export ghost image layout of high power laser systems conveniently.
