Results and analysis of infrared photometry and spectrophotometry for Halley's comet

英文摘要An IR photometer-spectrophotometer with J, H, and K standard filters was used to observe Halley's comet in the near IR from March 25-April 3, 1986 at Yunnan Observatory. CVF observation in the 1.3-2.6 micron range found some emissions at 1.4, 1.9, and beyond 2.6 microns. It appears that the emissions at 1.4 and 1.9 microns came from H2O and that the other emissions possibly came from OH. From results in the J, H, and K bands, all the IR magnitudes of Halley's comet were faint during the observation period. Combined with previous data from observations of Halley's comet by photoelectric photometry, it is proposed that the faint magnitudes were the result of a cometary outburst just before the IR observation time.
